SF Beer Week Opening Celebration
Sample beers from 65 Northern California Breweries
Concourse Exhibition Center

Saturday – 2/9/2013 – 12 PM to 4 PM
Open Brew Day: 7 Day Brew at Cervecería de MateVeza
Join us in brewing a batch of beer on our 20-gallon nano system. We will ferment the beer during beer week and serve it the following Saturday, 2/16/13. Never rush perfection – unless it’s with Safale US-05 yeast during SF Beer Week!

Sunday – 2/10/2013 – 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Beerunch at Public House
A beer and food pairing brunch featuring beers from MateVeza, Moonlight, Allagash, Magnolia, Cervecería de MateVeza, and other morning-friendly brews at Public House. Please note that the event starts at 11:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. Tickets at www.beerunch.com.

Monday – 2/11/2013 – 5 PM to 9 PM
Cervecería & Chuey Collaboration for Charity at Cervecería de MateVeza
Our good friend and prolific homebrewer Kachusha “Chuey” Munkanta came over to brew a Falconer’s Flight hopped, yerba mate infused collaboration beer. We brewed only 20 gallons, so get it while you can! Proceeds of our collaboration will benefit the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, a non-profit organization created to commemorate and celebrate the life, interests, and good works of a well-loved and leading Northwest brewer.

Tuesday – 2/12/2013 – 5 PM to 9 PM
Cervecería & Bi-Rite Salted Caramel Ale Release at Cervecería de MateVeza
We got together with our neighbors at Bi-Rite Creamery and brewed “Salted Caramel Ale,” an homage to their signature Salted Caramel ice cream. Come try the beer side by side with the ice cream to see how we did. We’ll also be serving ice cream floats featuring Bi-Rite’s delicious creations with our nano-brewed beers.

Wednesday – 2/13/2013 – 6 PM to 9 PM
MateVeza IPA Sails the 18th St. Seas from Cervecería to Kasa Indian Eatery
Join us in reenacting the original voyage of India Pale Ale as we embark from Cervecería de MateVeza (England) down 18th St (the Atlantic / Indian Ocean) to Kasa Indian Restaurant (India). We’ll meet at Cervecería at 6pm and then we’ll ferry you and the precious IPA keg through the treacherous seas of 18th Street. Once we safely arrive at Kasa, you can celebrate your scurvy-free journey by sipping on a MateVeza IPA with your Indian feast (coincidentally a delightful pairing).

Thursday – 2/14/2013 – 5 PM to 9 PM
Mr Ed & Horsey Beers at Cervecería de MateVeza
A beer is a beer my dear, my dear! And no one smells horse in a beer, my dear. That is, my dear, unless the beer is brewed with Mr. Brett!
Oh Wilburrrr! These beers got some funk! But they’ll speak to you if you listen. Come check out our newest nano-brewed creations – a brett-laden, Belgian Pale brewed with rice named “Uni” & “Bostwick’s Best Brown Porter” with brett alongside other horsey beers. And of course we will be playing Mr. Ed reruns to heighten the experience. Leave your horse blankets at home – we’ve got you covered!

Friday – 2/15/2013 – 5 PM to 9 PM
Rodenbach Grand Cru on Nitro at Cervecería de MateVeza
You can only get Rodenbach Foederbier, a creamy Flemish Red aged 2-years served on cask, at two places in the world. And both are in Roeselare, Belgium. But now you can get the next best thing at Cervecería de MateVeza – Rodenbach Grand Cru on nitro. Yum!

Saturday – 2/16/2013 12 PM to 4 PM
7-Day Brew at Cervecería de MateVeza
Join us in drinking a batch of beer brewed on our 20-gallon nano system on 2/9/13 (only 7 days prior, this beer will live it’s entire life during Beer Week). Never rush perfection – unless it’s with Safale US-05 during SF Beer Week!

Sunday – 2/17/2013 – 12 PM to 4 PM
Yerba Mate Education at Cervecería de MateVeza
Join us for a yerba mate education session with Guayaki cebador Mateo Sluder. We’ll cover mate history, harvest, etiquette and of course we’ll be passing gourds. We’ll have plenty of mate-brewed beers on tap to show what mate can do in our favorite fermented beverage too!
